Stéphanie Lagoutte is Senior researcher at the Danish Institute for Human Rights. She holds a Doctorate in Public Law from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and a PhD in Law from the University of Aarhus, Denmark. She has published books and articles on the European Court of Human Rights, family and human rights, religious freedom, business and human rights, etc. Her current research focuses on issues pertaining to state human rights obligations and to how international, regional and domestic human rights systems and actors work and interacts with each other. In 2016, she edited and contributed to Tracing the Role of Soft Law in Human Rights, Oxford University Press.
