Students directly observed and reflected on the protest movements that spread all over Lebanon during the autumn of 2019, especially when the programme moved some of its seminars to the protest tents in Martyr Square, central Beirut. In January 2020, they spent 5 days in Tripoli, one of the epicentres of the protest movement to study how Lebanese, Syrians and Palestinians perceived the movement.
