The Arab Master on Democracy and Human Rights organised a field study in the North of Lebanon to report the situation of education of refugee children in the Akkar Region. Akkar which hosts the highest concentration of refugees, is one of the poorest regions of Lebanon, which makes things even more challenging. 

The students assessed the extend of schooling of refugees in relation to the environment where they live, their family conditions, their gender, their social integration and their potential of return.
