Hans-otto Sano
Hans-Otto Sano is a research director at the Danish Institute for Human Rights. His PhD was in economic history from University of Copenhagen. He is a specialist in human rights and development issues and has worked on human rights and good governance, human rights and poverty, human rights indicators, and on human rights and economic growth. He has been employed at the Danish Institute for Human Rights since 1997, but was on leave for three years where he worked at the World Bank. During 2017, Dr. Sano co-edited the book: Research Methods in Human Rights. A Handbook. The book was edited in collaboration with Baard Anders Andreassen, the Norwegian Center for Human Rights, and with Siobhán McInerney-Lankford, the World Bank.
