Congratulation Messages from the Global Campus of Human Rights (Commencement 2024)
During the graduation ceremony of the European programme of the Global Campus, the Secretary General of the Global Campus along with representatives and directors of all eight regional programmes of the Global Campus shared with the graduates of the Arab programme a message of solidarity and their best wishes.
Prof. Frans Viljoen (GC Africa – University of Pretoria), Mike Hayes (GC Asia Pacific – University of Mahidol), Ms Kristine Gevorgyan (GC Caucasus – State University of Yerevan), Prof. Anja Mihr (GC Central Asia – OSCE Academy of Bishkek), Dr Orla Ní Cheallacháin (GC Europe), Prof. Veronica Gomez (GC Latin America and the Caribbeans – National University of San Martin), and Ms Mariana Hadzijusufovic (GC South East Europe – University of Sarajevo).
Prof. Manfred Nowak (Global Campus of Human Rights), Prof. Lars Binderup (University of Southern Denmark), and Dr Eva Maria Lassen (Danish Institute for Human Rights).
Unfortunately, technical issues prevented the inclusion of the message of Prof. Marco Barroccetti (GC South East Europe – University of Bologna) and Ms Valentina Abita (Global Campus of Human Rights).
The Global Campus collectively recognised the achievements of the 10th cohort of the programme, applauding its efforts and commitment to Human Rights Education in difficult times, with conflicts in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria directly impacting the programme and its learning community. The speakers encourage graduates to remain determined and resilient in their work. They emphasize the importance of the programme in building capacity for human rights and democracy in a challenging global context, particularly in the Arab World.
